Third Line Faith

Through the month of April we at APEX Young Adults did a series from Craig Groeschel called “Practical Atheist: Are You Who You Say You Are?” Craig recently released this series in book form. I really enjoyed the read, particularly the closing chapter. He talks about three lines of faith that people cross.

  1. I believe in God and this gospel of Christ enough to benefit from it. This is the area where people want to be on God’s good side. They want heaven. They want to be blessed with good health, prosperity, and happiness.
  2. I believe in God and Christ’s gospel enough to contribute comfortably. These are people who want to benefit from it but also want to give back – as long as it doesn’t cost too much.
  3. I believe in God and Christ’s gospel enough to give my life to it. These are the people who feel that nothing is too much to ask. Those who take the Bible for what it is, take up their cross and follow Christ.

Which line are you?
